FAQ

An SSL certificate is a bit of code on your web server that provides security for online communications. When a web browser contacts your secured website, the SSL certificate enables an encrypted connection. It’s kind of like sealing a letter in an envelope before sending it through the mail.

SSL certificates keep online interactions private even though they travel across the public Internet, and they help customers gain the confidence to provide personal information on your website. If you ask users of your website to sign in, enter personal data such as credit card numbers, or view confidential information such as health benefits or financial accounts, you need to keep the data private. You also need to assure them that your website is authentic

Getting an HTTPS on the website is quite easy. Simply follow the steps- Get your website hosted, Purchase a certificate from the trusted Certificate Authority or its resellers, Activate the purchased SSL/TLS Certificate by following all the necessary steps such as generating CSR, Install your SSL/TLS Certificate. Finally, make the necessary changes to use HTTPS

DV certificates are issued against- 1) Email address to 2) DNS text Value 3) HTTP file- they’re needed to prove the ownership of your domain. In order to validated, 1 of the above 3 prerequsites are needed.

You can generate you own CSR from your server or hosting control panel or you can generate CSR within our portal.

SSL certificates with domain verification, or as some call them, entry-level certificates are the most common in the world, and this is not surprising, because the speed of issuing such certificates varies from 2-10 minutes, depending on the brand. To obtain such a certificate, no documents are required, the whole process is extremely simple, you need to confirm ownership of the domain, and for this there are 3 ways, one main and two alternative. Entry-level SSL certificates with domain verification are one of the fastest-issued certificate types because Do not require any documents. We recommend these certificates for small sites and small projects, when you do not need a lot of trust from clients and visitors of the site, project. With such a certificate, static security logos are more often used, however there are some that offer dynamic ones, for example: Thawte SSL 123, Sectigo SSL Certificate.

Wildcard SSL certificate protects an unlimited number of sub-domains, but for the next level of domain only. If order placed for *.domain.tld, that means SSL will protect the domain.tld (base domain) and all its sub-domains (next-level), like any.domain.tld, mail.domain.tld etc, but NOT *.*.domain.tld. Basically, double wildcard certs not exist, same as EV Wildcards. It is also possible to use Wildcard SSL for mail and exchange servers, as most modern software may work with them like with UCC (Unified Communication SSL certificates).

Multi-Domain SSL certificates, also known as Unified Communication Certificates (UCC) and Subject Alternative Name (SAN). All of them solve the requirement of protecting multiple domains and sub-domains. They are very popular for companies who run various local websites. CDN (Content Delivery Networks) use them to protect all their customers. The modern SAN SSL supports up to 250 items, where each item can be used for domain or sub-domain. Some products like Multi-Domain Wildcard SSL certificates may support *.domain.tld (Wildcard domains) as SAN item.

From your portal, you can manage your certificate like renewal or reissuance.
